Pretty simple question: when you buy new skivvies do you launder them before you wear them for the first time or do you just throw them on right out of the bag?

Bonus question for the sake of discussion: what does the lady in your life say about it?

My dad told stories of sanitary conditions of foreign factories. That's enough detail for this post. He had to get new overseas one time and did not have time to wash. There was a reaction. I choose not to roll the dice.

Some folks try them on and put them back on the shelf or hanger. Eww.

sometimes/usually. If I need them NOW, I wont hesitate to wear them out of the bag. But I prefer laundered.

In general, millinery supplies sit for months before a rudimentary rinse (depends on individual factories) then cutting and sewing.
Sometimes the bolts are even trucked in on flatbeds, and only tarped against the elements.
Who knows what kind of mold or bacteria could lie in wait for your buddies.
Wash 'em, and make it hot, if possible.
