243. Winchester m70 is my favorite. Rem 700 second. savage 3rd.

Actually, I prefer the 20.5" bbl of the 660 over the 18.5" of the 600.
All of them have gotten silly on price but I supposed deals could be had.
A reg Mohawk could have the rib added.
Stock ergs kinda crappy, most in.308 got a recoil pad added (poorly).

.308 bolt gun. He can use it to hunt, shoot distance, etc. Tikka, Savage, R700, M70. All good options.


OR if you like him better than your other nephews, Winchester 1892 in .44 mag. (The new Japanese ones or an old one.)
