That's freakin' awesome right there!
Kinda like this?
Thanks!! Here's an interesting shot of it.
Is it interesting because it's upside down?
That is a very unique rifle, I think it looks cool
Marlin 1895 GS 45-70 trimmed to 1.795".
Didn't much care for the ar platform, until I found out it could be chambered for 458 SOCOM.
I really want a 1895 45-70 just to shoot, but I didn't think about trimming the case for hunting. Is it hard to do or do you buy the rounds from someone?
44 Mag 240 grain XTP with a hot dose of Winchester 296....It definitely lays the smack down!!!!!
Doing the same thing for next season, Marlin 1895 with the brass cut back. I just need to find some 405 grain cast. Hoping to find some this weekend at Kokomo. If not, I'll call Midway for a bullet mold...
Was just looking at the website for the Kokomo show a few minutes ago.
How is Kokomo? Do they generally have a pretty good turn out? Or different from time to time?
45Lc Is my do all round, works great on everything that's not a rabbit or squirell! Never thought about shortening the cases on a 45-70, but it just seems like a tad bit of work....would love to hunt with my Sharps though..45 Colt if you reload, 44 mag if you don't. Covers everything at woods ranges.
