Coming down to the 1500 tomorrow and am looking for a hotel that's close, in a good area, and not an ARM and a leg for a room. Suggestions?

Good luck, the Future Farmer of America are having their convention downtown this week and most of the hotels are booked, plus the 1500 is not in the best part of town, Esrice on here works at a hotel, might PM him and see if he can help.

    Does not compute!

"Decent hotel" and "by the 1500" do not belong in the same paragraph let alone the same sentence! 55,000 FFAers have got all the hotels anyway.

Actually, if you do a search at Cheap & Discount Travel Deals, Flights & Hotels | Hotwire.com there is plenty reasonable stuff available. Stick to the "fishers-NE" and "Carmel" zones and you'll be in a good area about 5-10 miles form the 1500. The 2.5 star listed for $39 is the Jameson Inn. Its not fancy, but a great price in a good area. The 3 star listed for $52 in Fishers is the Staybridge Suites. Great place with an indoor pool.

Actually, most of the FFA folks leave tomorrow. You can get a hotel on 96th street in Fishers for sure. But I'm guessing the price is at least an arm or a leg. I know the Hotel Indigo runs about $89 per night and the others are comparable in price.

Jameson Inn wouldn't be to bad, except 38th street is all messed up, I would look to the north

    Too bad

Too bad about the Cabelas cancellation/delay/whatever. You'd have been in their backyard! Any chance it may still happen (he said, hijacking the thread).

Yes, it is too bad. We were really banking on them being right next door.

Last I talked with the Greenwood Mayor, they aren't coming at all. :(
