...There is no actual cure for it either. Its like folks getting their gun info from the news, you can't convince them otherwise and if you try, you are a gun nut or a crazie.

Its near impossible to teach them about guns properly as they have been innundated with a cartoon teaching them about the world.

I agree completely with you on the media issue. People believe the news to be 100% true, and never doubt the source.

And i've tried explaining the nuances to my buddy, and it's like he understands me but doesn't grasp the concept.

And Ghost in the Shell is a pretty badass show.

Anime like all forms of entertainment is not meant to be taken literally. And just like American movies and tv shows, 90% of it is crap! But if you know what to look for there is some great Anime out there.
