Cutting grips on an XD service?

Hey guys, I've been looking all over for an XD9 4" in the compact size and finally realized that they don't make one. (or at least that i can find) I know that the xdm's come in 3.8" compact, but i have a 20-30 mags for the xd's and don't really want to switch species. Does anyone know someone that does do work where they will cut down a service grip to be like a compact grip?
