Okay I can't even read thru five pages of posts. I sold some cheap guns that are not even on the market any more. Anyone remember the Bryco Jennings guns... First I don't care how cheap it is, if it is not reliable why own it and the next is safety. does this gun have a firing pin block? if not dump it now. never load it, it ain't safe.
Okay, maybe if you actually read the posts, you'd see that I'm not asking for your opinions on the Hi-point or other cheap brands. It's a range toy. I dressed it up because its a range toy.

So I got this hi-point in a trade, it looked ugly so I made it better.
A can of spray paint and a few puppy paw print stickers later I have this.
It's lighter than it looks in the picture.
A little nail polish on the front sight and I think it looks good.
Who says you can't polish a turd.
...but it has still functioned flawlessly for close to 1000 rounds. Is that the phrase you were looking for?you can polish a turd, but... i think you know the rest.
They are not for everyone. Nothing disrespectful about not liking what I like.No disrespect...from a former owner...after owng one they r just not 4 me
They are kinda like the ol Dodge Dart with the slant six....(showing my age)...It had almost 350,000 miles on it the day the frame rusted and gave way, it was ugly when it left the factory and ugly when it died, but it ran forever....but it has still functioned flawlessly for close to 1000 rounds. Is that the phrase you were looking for?
This is what they're good for. A cheap truck gun or range toy that from what I understand can be fairly reliable and if it gets stolen then it's not a big hit to the wallet.I embrace the ugly hi-points. That gun is purdy enough to go in my trunk.
