I've got a couple questions pertaining to the 1500 next weekend.

Will INGO be there? Can I get my shirt finally? lol

Is it a big one or small one this time around? (which building)

I am 19, so I can't buy a handgun off a dealer - just a person. What about selling a handgun to a dealer, could I do that? What about to a person?

I have a couple friends here in IL that want to come. Is it illegal for them to buy guns there? From a dealer? From a person?

The 1500 usually is a fairly big show, although lately there have been a growth in the flea market stuff.

For your own safety, although it might be legal, don't sell handguns until you are 21. Some dealers could get the wrong impression that maybe you are not selling something you legally own type of thing.

It is legal for an Illinois resident to buy a firearm here, but they need to have an FFL to have it sent to. Something about IL residents not having the same constitutional rights as was written by what used to be the supreme law of the land. I believe a dealer will ask for their FOID card to verify that Illinois has determined that they are approved serfs.

Thanks for the help indykid. I like the size of the 1500 and have been many times, I was just wondering which building it would be in this time.

I don't want to start an argument in my own thread, SO - thanks for the advise, but please think about the quoted statement you made.

It's going to be kind of hard to miss. Almost always in that big double building on the SE side of the fairgrounds next to the Toyota Pavilion.

And, there's not usually much else going on during the 1500.

I'm fairly sure we'll be at the 1500. I don't know where the table will be yet. We have two 6x3 foot banners that will be 9 feet in the air on a white PVC frame. If you can't find us, you aren't looking.

Just adding a little info here..... for residents of states adjacent to Indiana (touching), they can purchase long arms from a dealer, but not handguns. Handguns need to be transferred to an FFL in their state of residence.

I believe that I am going to enjoy browsing around at the 1500, and who knows, I may happen to fall in love with something.
