Couple big Smiths 500 & 44

I bought me a 500 Smith with a 8 3/8" barrel to match my 44. My brother and I took them out and shot em yesterday. WOW! That is some power. We were shooting at a plastic bottle (it's all we could find) and cutting trenches deep enough to plant taters in. It didn't take long before I had the 44 in my left hand and the 500 in my right a layin waste to that poor bottle. Cowboy style both of em blazin. Man that was fun and quite expensive, but I'm sure it will happen again. I attached a couple pics. The 44 looks little compared to the 500.

Those are sweet. One of these day's I'm going to get a 500. I shot my Ruger Redhawk .44 for the first time last week and the recoil wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I'm already wanting to upsize.

The recoil is not that bad with the 500. I was expecting a lot worse. Yeah it kicks but it is managable. My brother and I both shot it one handed. I need to get some targets set up and see how it really shoots. Only bad thing is that $2 a shot.
