The more ignorant they are about guns, the better for them. If they start using correct terminology, the next thing they'll do is to learn a Glock from an AK-47. After that, they might start realizing that there is no "assault rifle" and that anything black in color with a long barrel and some tacticool accessories does not mean it is a military grade gun. Sooner or later they might realize that restricting magazines and banning any gun that "looks scary" is a stupid proposition and that Obama and cronies are not doing anything to reduce violence in schools and on city streets.

It's a slippery slope for them and it all starts by educating themselves on proper terminology.

That would take energy away from their emotional "argument".

If they actually tried to be educatied, they might find out that they are wrong. Safer to remain ignorant.

So, what you are saying is that their preferred state of being is ignorance and that they are happy being ignorant?

    I can believe that. :D

It is not ignorance. They are very calculated in their endeavor to ban all guns. People are just stupid, they know it, and they play to it. That's why they invented the term "assault weapon"

The libs don't like guns so they don't think anyone should have them. Same thing for about any issue. They want abortion, so it's not ok for you to oppose it. They want legal drugs but not legal guns. Makes no sense. Why learn about something you're opposed to? Just make it appear evil so you can ban it.

They aren't ignorant. They know guns are great for self defense. That's why all of the lawmakers have security guards and secret service who carry... GUNS. They just don't want us to have them so they can have more power. It's all about control.
