I placed an order from Drillspot after seeing it in this thread.

The stuff was drop shipped from the local Grainger.

Item # 2MVR4 was the product item # listed on the enclosed Grainger invoice.

Save yourself some hassle and go direct:

Blast Media, 40 Lbs, Corn Cob, 14/20 Grit - Pneumatic Blasting Media - Finishing Supplies - Power Tools & Metalworking : Grainger Industrial Supply

I have been using that product from Grainger Supply for several years now, it's good stuff and 40 lbs of it goes a long way...

I picked up a bag of corn cob media at Uncle Bills pet store. It works fine for my pistol brass, 9MM, 38Sp, 357mag and 45 ACP, but it is a bit of a pain when i go to separate my brass/media. I use a $2.00 kitchen colander to separate by brass/media and the holes in the colander are a little small for this coarse pet store corn cob and i end up picking most of the cases out bhy hand. The next time i am at wallys i was going to look for another cheap colander with bigger holes.

Just a suggestion...Harbor Frieght Tools in Fort Wayn has it in stock....would assume other stores have it also. I believe it is a 25 lb box

This has already been quoted once but I wonder if anyone can confirm the price? I think it was $1 a pound.

All I saw at Harbor Freight this weekend was walnut hulls, no corn cob, though I wasn't really looking that hard.

I bought the 10lb lyman pre-treated years ago and still have some left. It is a finely ground product that works very well.

I was just in HarborFreight last week in Indy and they had both corncob and walnut in two different grades. I didn't see nay pricing on the boxes. They are located by the vibratory tumblers. I've bought "lizard litter" at Petsmart in the past with ok results. It is a bit inconsistant and dirty.

Petsmart is a good place to find both walnut and corn cob. The Corn Cob that I have purchased has been very course and I found that the tumbling action is not a active as when I used walnut. I have now resigned the corn cob to soaking up oil spills in the garage.

The best thing I have used is Lizard Litter from one of the pet stores. Cheap and is the exact same thing practically,

I use some of the rejuvenator occasionally and it works perfect.

    Try it ,,,,you'll like it.
