I am camping with some buddies this weekend and was looking for some fun inexpensive things to shoot. We have used things in the past like pumpkins and 2 liters of soda. Any other idea’s out there?

cheap off-brand 12 packs of soda.
Golf balls (or even golf balls hanging from a horizontal support)
It sounds dumb, but for .22s, I used to love shooting at a dowel/pole (about 1-1.5 inch diameter) stuck in the ground (tall-ways)
Clay pigeons set up on a hillside (really fun for long pistol shots, like 75+ yds)
Anything rolling/moving is always fun when you can do it safely.

Kind of depends what you're shooting (guns and calibers)

We used to save our red dairy queen spoons and stick the handle in the ground and shoot the round part off. My dad and I had a lot of fun shooting those and entertaining the guys at the range. Loved a challenge! I wish my eyesight was still that good.

Shooting walnuts with 22LR is fun, but probably hard to find any the squirrels haven't gotten to already. My son has an old bag of little green army men, we're going to take those with us next time to my brother's outdoor range. Playing cards and poker chips are fun too.

I've got a wrecked van in the yard that I plan on trying out a few of my carry loads on before hauling it off to the scrap yard. More of a "what do I carry that can get through a car door, windshield, ect" than the fun aspects of shooting, but then, any trigger time is a good time to me.

My brothers and I riddled a few cars we found in farm dumps around Tippecanoe county back in the day.
Thinking back now, I wish I'd looked closer at some of those old cars before we "Bonnie & Clyde"d them.

As a teen my brother and I would steal beer out of the refrigerator shake the pi** out of it and shoot them. They pop real nice when they're shook up

Anything you buy at the dollar store! We would go buy boxes of two liters or those spinning wind chime things.
