    Just be thankfull you are not in NY....it takes over a year and other paperwork to get, and coasts around $400 with all the classes and other paperwork that must be done!

    Many thanks. Just have some estate matters to finish before I get my IN drivers license so I will be waiting to apply. Was hoping could use my car registration for proof of address and out-of-state license for identification. I understand that's good for gun purchase at dealer here.

    Will a LTCH circumvent a background check or whatever they do when you pick up a firearm transfer at your FFL dealer?

    It won't for us. The LTCH only confirms you were a legal person at the time you received it, not at the time you pick up the firearm. I'm the supervisor and a Lifetime LTCH holder and I have to do a background every time I buy a gun at work
