Well I was bored, this is KIND OF what mine will look like. YHM lightweight rails, non-SS barrel and some of the fat Magpul rail covers instead of the Larue stuff

Thanks for the compliments on my build. It came out just as planned.

Regarding the finish, the upper is a bit glossier than the M&P15 lower, but I think the comment on oil is correct. Once I wiped it all down, the colors are a lot closer, and where some oil has soaked into the lower from oiling the guts, its a pretty close match.

If any of you guys are on the fence about getting one, and you have the means, go for it. You won't regret it!
