Colt mustang stainless frame?

Been googling this for a while and can't seem to get an answer.

Was there ever a mustang or.380 govt with a frame in stainless or were they all alloy framed?

Been wanting to add one to the stainless colt collection.

As far as I know, all alloy

Ponys were stainless though

In the mid 90s it was made with both a blue steel and a stainless steel frame

Mine was made in late 80s or early 90s and I'm sure it's stainless. 90% sure anyway. I'm not home to look at it. I will tomorrow though.

I have both a Pony and a Mustang and have wondered he same. Thanks for asking, now I can read on and know too.

Edit, checked mine, it is a Mustang Mk IV Series 80, and it is clearly steel.

though mine is blued, not stainless...

That looks just like mine. I'm 95% sure it's stainless now.
