    I have recently come upon a sale on a colt ar15 a2 govt model. I don't know much about it and would like some information on it. I can't post pictures as I am on my phone but it is camo is the serial number is gs000300.

    I think that's a early one with the 2 letter prefix. Green label? There are different models and date ranges. What's the upper look like?

    that paint will turn off a collector. You'll get $1k out of it I'm sure.

    this is a "pre-ban" gun which in Indiana and most states doesn't mean dick. In places like California and New York it does. It means they're able to be purchased I believe. You'll get more online nationally than localy

    I agree with Trigger Time, if you had a $1000 dollar offer here locally you should take it. A 20 inch fixed carry handle AR doesn't appeal to many people anymore. Most guys want an M4, and in that $1000 dollar range you can get a Colt 6920 which in today's market is more valuable. In fact if you haven't bought it, I'm not sure that I would. I don't drink the Colt kool-aid, I think there are much better AR's on the market.
