Just got the email this afternoon from the CMP that my International Harvester will be back home again in Indiana and on my doorstep Monday morning. Granted, Richmond isn't Evansville, but we did have an International Harvester plant at one time. Hopefully, lady luck is with me and I'll get a nice one with more than just an IHC receiver. An appropriate stock would be a nice bonus, but I know that not all of them are going to have their original USGI wood. I was pretty surprised at how fast they shipped one to me, since the email I received said 60 to 90 days was the estimated shipping time. When I ordered my service grade Springfield, it took 90 days, and my Inland carbine took about 6 months to reach me. So here's also hoping that the guys and gals on back order for one will end up seeing their rifles a little sooner.
Anybody else on here spring for one of the CMP Harvesters? I seriously contemplated the drive up to the North Store, but got committed by the wife to attend a wedding the day of the release, so I settled for USPS.
