Why not head north to the "north store" in Ohio? It's in Port Clinton at Camp Perry.
Not quite as big of store but it was well stocked when I was there.
The money you save on gas would buy some ammo.

Wasnt aware you could walk in and buy in the north store. Thanks for the heads up.

From terre haute area to Port Clinton, Oh... just under 6hrs.

I am still kicking myself for not going and getting a $500 M1 Carbine!

I was just at the Camp Perry a month ago. I always have one or two, or... never mind, follow me home when I go. I found one that I really think was a sleeper. Full of grease, it just oozed with it. Practically slid out of your hands when you handled it. Dont think anyone really wanted to clean it up cause it was such a mess. Took a couple of days to get it cleaned up. But there are no marks on it anywhere, No marks on the under side of the barrel where the operating rod usually marks up pretty quick, Bolt not marked, it really looks sharp. Wood, just an old used garand stock, but really nice high number H&R.
The Port Clinton store is really nice. Smaller but everyone is very friendly and helpful. Generally very good stock of lots of stuff.
I wish the model 52's had bolts though.
