I know! The gas tube gets in the way and the bacon doesn't cook evenly.

Ever try to clean bacon grease dried to the inside on a handguard? :xmad:

It was an outstanding 2 days of instruction and I greatly enjoyed participating. :rockwoot:

Great work by all the instructors; a top notch crew indeed. I learned a lot....to include that the .22lr conversion was not very accurate or precise. Moving back to .223 was a big help.

If my shoulder could have taken it, I should have used the Garand.....:ar15:

The steady improvement in my shooting is evidence of how well structured the instruction is.

Great job and tons of fun....There are just not enough hours in the day when it's a day at the range..

And Steve, who gets the AR first, you or Linda?

Yes, it was a great weekend. I got to watch my oldest son shoot his first Appleseed. I improved over my scores from last time so I was happy with my own progress. We're both looking forward to our next shoot!

Here are a few photos, I may come back and caption these later. . .

Rimshot and DHolder ably instructing. . .

    DaveD and Abby

DHolder demonstrating prone with Eddie and son in background.

    ATM discussing holdover and ranging

ATM spotting for Steve and Abby

    The line

    Carding the sights

ALL generations were represented well at this event!

    Another well delivered history lesson

DaveD demonstrating an AQT. Should I post his target?:D

It was bittersweet losing stschil as "cook". . . Congratulations!

    Bacon was well represented! :rockwoot::rockwoot:

    I'm gonna hear about this one. . . A lovely lady caught at a bad time. . . :D:D

Same here, minus the "lovely" part. . . Well, maybe the "lady" too. . . ;)

Rockin' the official INGO Tactical Sandals. With jeans. And socks.

    The gracious AuntieBellum

Bill of Rights showed up Sunday

Rimshot received his RED HAT at the shoot; ATM received his GREEN HAT at same. Unfortunately, my camera was AWOL.

AuntieBellum scoring one of MANY AQTs.

I am sure some names are wrong/forgotten. I can't remember some of the handles or who they belong to. Please help if you can!

Special Thanks to Don, Steve, and Linda(?) for the cooking, Alan and Dave for the pizza, and Alan for keeping everyone WELL supplied with bacon throughout the shoot! It was a great time with great people, and I look forward to the next!

    Where's the bacon?
That's not Amber, that's Abby, one of our newest Blue Hat AppleCore volunteers!

And I ought to ban you for posting that pic of me, but having broken your camera should be enough punishment. :D

    Blessings,
    Bill

Don't look for any sympathy here, buddy. We all know you are NEVER out of bacon.

I call foul on the crocodile tears. Well, foul or :bs:, one or the other. ;)

In all seriousness, you did a fine job overall and earned that Green Hat.

    Blessings,
    Bill
