I dont know if this is the place to post this. I have a couple of stainless revolvers, what is the best way to remove the powder residue from the front of the cylinders without scraching the finish.
I know it sounds odd, but the Mr. clean magic eraser (easily found at Wal Mart) works wonders and won't scratch your revolver. It's pretty useful around the house as well.
Birchwood-Casey makes a "Lead Remover Cloth" that works great. Looks like one of those silicone cloths but is different. I use it on the face of revolver cylinders to remove the ugly black crud, both powder and lead, that resists other cleaning methods.
The Mr. Clean eraser idea sounds interesting. I think I'll try it.
