When I lived there I carried a crescent wrench and kept my shirts untucked. You can "fix" a lot of "things" with a decent wrench.

Dont have your knife clip showing and you wont be stopped by the police for them to check the lenght of your blade.

I dont think I own a knife with a 2.5" blade either, I dont really know the lenght of my blades since I usually decide to ignore stupid laws like that anyway.

Meh.It's different, I know that you cant legally carry a gun with a LTCH in Chicago.
With knives laws since I use the metric system I dont know what lenght is legal or not.

Also I believe it's legal to transport any kind of knives, carry is another issue, but once again im no expert on the difference between transport and carry.You know with all the laws being in a foreign language and such.

I'm going to be visiting the Chicago area this week for work. I know carrying my gun is pretty much a no go, so I always avoid that Communist state to the best of my ability anyway. My question is if anyone here is familiar with their particular laws surrounding the carry of knives? Blade length, fixed blade, folder, etc?? Anybody know?

The absolute best defense for Chicago is not to go at all.
