    A good year here in the Great Southern Forest, must be the recent rains. A delicacy for the seasoned mushroom hunter.:)

    Only found two at my getaway property in Owen county. I think they're just starting to pop.
    Tomorrow, I'll saute' and throw them into some scrambled eggs !

    Unglaciated heaven
    I've seen them for years but never been brave enough to try them. After a lot of picture looking and research, I decided to give them a try. YUMMY! I sautéed them in butter and salted then lightly seasoned with garlic powder. Highly recommend them. The woods are full of them right now, most I've ever seen.
