Chamber sizes/ammo question

If I have a 3" chamber on a single shot slug gun, can you use shorter 2 1/2" ammo? The manual just says 3" but I was unsure if that meant nothing longer than 3".

Yes you can. Run it all, between 2-1/2" through 3". No problems

Awesome. They had some cheap 2 1/2 federal slugs at Gander Mountain today $3.30 a box I think?
