I'm looking to buy a few gold coins OR BARS (reputable mints only) basically for gold value as a coin, not collectible value. Not looking for rare coins! Just gold coins. American, Canadian, I don't care as long as they are legit!

Be careful when buying gold and silver. I worked at at a pawn shop for several years until yesterday (Graduated college so better paying job now) and you'd be surprised . China is making fake silver and gold bars / coins. If you can't scratch into it, try to find identical bars and coins on other reputable sites. But word of caution. There is a huge market for fakes and it can be hard to tell!

Sure you know all this but word of caution.
