I recently moved to Indiana, and am looking for the location of the prohibited locations that do NOT allow carry. I am not sure if this belongs in a better place or not so please forgive my ignorance.
Schools, preschools, some state office buildings, riverboat casinos & at the State Fair (not the grounds, but the grounds during the State Fair). That is about it in IN, besides federal property.
No guns signs do not carry the weight of law, here, either.
Welcome to IN!
Also add:
- Army Corp of Engineers properties (this includes most/many State Reservoirs)
- Most any federal government building. May or may not include Post Offices: depends on interpretation and the Courts have not ruled on this.
Our relatively new "preemption law" also has a ton of exemptions. The following MAY have a rule, or may not:
Courts, OC at public meetings, Public Hospitals with a secure (staffed by leo 24x7) correctional health unit, County and Township Hospitals, Events held at a location leased from the government (Lucus Oil Stadium)
