Carry at the DMV?

I carry every time I go in the BMV. Several years ago they had a no gun sign on the door, but it's not there anymore, and it wasn't a quoted IC type sign, just a gun with a line through it.

I want to get a holster than has a red circle with a line through it... that way when I go into places with those signs I can be in compliance....

I have OC'd a multiple Indiana BMV's without ANY problems. Even had one FEMALE clerk discuss her weapon with me and the fact that they were NOT allowed to carry at work!!!

I also use the Brownsburg branch. Have carried there and has never been an issue.

I hybrid carried into the Columbus branch. No worries. Was in and out in less than ten minutes for a plate renewal.

Maybe in Ohio, but in Indiana the DMV isn't off-limits.

At the one in Plainfield? I always thought it was a no carry place. I'll keep that in mind next time I visit there. Nice to learn new info.

If you are an Indiana resident you can NOT carry at the DMV! Unless there is reciprocity in that state and that state allows it.


In Indiana, however, you CAN carry at the BMV.

Nuh unh! In Indiana you have to carry at the License Branch.

I did some business at a DMV branch in Evansville a couple weeks ago. I was carrying concealed and I carefully scanned for signs on the building, on doors and windows for anti signs. Since there were'nt any I didn't worry about it.

Government facility, no go.

Here in Ohio, they're run by independant contrcators and the employees are not paid by the government, but iirc most of them have gun buster signs which is a big no no here

I'm starting to think Ohio has a lot of those signs everywhere.
