    cant imagine a .44 would be a fun range gun. it has its value with many functions but not a fun to shoot range gun.

    Shooting big caliber guns is fun at the range to. I've had the pleasure of shooting AllenM's S&W 500 with a 4 inch barrel with factory ammo and his reloads and found it to be an adrenaline rush. I just make sure to shoot the big caliber guns last because they tend to make your hands a little unstable after firing a bunch of rounds through them.
