I'm really curious about the trigger job. Do you happen to know how it compares to an APEX upgrade kit? I've been considering a trigger upgrade for mine but haven't had a chance to actually feel the various triggers.

I will agree, for a plastic gun it is pretty nice. The only thing that I am having trouble wrapping my head around is the slide lightening cuts, coupled with the heavy spring for +P+ ammo.

The way I have always understood it, when you lighten a slide in an auto pistol, the spring weight has to be increased to compensate for the lower mass. Lower mass =slide moving easier from recoil pressure, and likewise moving back into battery, the lighter slide requires a heavier spring to strip the next round from the magazine and chamber the round in the barrel.
Heavier than necessary spring rates have been said to cause increased wear and tear in some pistols, so with that theory, wouldn't it be better to leave the slide at factory weight, and not run as heavy of a recoil spring?

I would assume that the lower slide weight would lower felt recoil (less mass slinging back and forth), but the 9mm has never been known to be a difficult round in the recoil department, especially in a full sized weapon.

Other than that, me being a metal frame guy, its pretty smooth looking, and I wouldnt kick it out of my safe if it needed a place to stay:cool:

I can't imagine a trigger much better than the Apex setup but I haven't handled it. Sure would like to compare it to my Apex setup.

The Apex FSS is by far the nicest trigger I've ever felt on a striker gun. :yesway: I really need to get for my carry gun.

Looks like there is one starting at 2K on gunbroker and it still has the hinged M&P trigger in it. Pretty as it is it wouldn't be worth that kind of $$$ to me.
