Ive been wanting one for awhile but have not seen many even before the
panic started. Ive seen them at GM but dont really want to pay 300.00 more
than it should be as they are typically over priced. I heard mixed things about
them being produced at certain times of the year? ( not sure if it is true )
    Has anyone had any sightings?

Have not seen one locally but not been out much either. Seen a couple on Gunbroker for decent prices just over $600 and up. Have a FM and it shoots nice would like to have a FN also.

I have a fn. Made in 1985. What do you consider a good price? I really love this gun, but I might be willing to part with it for the right price.

i keep a eye out for a feg clones i got one and ive never had a bit of trouble from it.

I agree. I have 2, and neither are Brownings. I would like a Browning too, but $1000 is too much for me. I just bought the one in the middle off GB earlier this year for $339. $400 new 9 years ago for the one on top. Why pay for the name?

I had a browning hi power in .40 back in the mid 90s and sold it. Bought it for about $600 new. Kicking myself everyday for selling it. It was a great gun!

I bought mine prior to the most recent panic used for about half MSRP. Even then, it was somewhat hit or miss finding them in stock at a gun store. I remember looking for a few months at the various gun shows before finding one that was not run had and put away wet, or way over priced. Keep searching, and as others have said, keep an eye out for the clones as well. Either is a well built piece, and worth waiting for.

It's my understanding that the "clones" are just as high quality as the FN's. They were built under Browning contract to the same spec's. It's the finish that's not as nice or deeply blued.
They can be hard to find, hit and miss seems to be the norm.

I have a Charles Daly, which is Feg parts with Magnum Research doing the final machining, finishing, assembly and test firing in the USA. I bought it slightly used last year for $300, and it shoots and functions perfect.

Try Indy trading Post. I bought a surplus Browning from them in March. It was reasonably priced.

Family Indoor Shooting Range (formerly Pop Guns0 has several in 9mm & 40S&W. Even if you are one of the "Pop haters" it might be worth a look. The prices seemed to be lower that what I've seen in this thread.

I saw one on a certain table at the 1500 last time around for a decent price. If it is still there this time around it may just follow me home. Unless you get there first of course. Most likely it will not be there though. I picked up a Browning LNIB with custom grips for $700.00 a few shows ago from a private seller. It had also been to Cylinder and Slide for some trigger work and night sights. It is sweet.
