More than likely they will be sold off to a third world government and end up being used against the soldiers who once carried them

Good on the Brits! The G17 is a far superior design for a general issue sidearm for military use. Tough, impervious to the elements, and easy to maintain, with spare parts that are inexpensive and easily obtainable.

Now if we can get the US military to come to their senses!

Because I was shocked that after the debacle of the SA80 they would go for such a quality product.
