I feel bad about making light of this. It sounds like he's getting better, which is good. But it's so hard not to chuckle, since almost every movie he's been in that I can think of, he's in some form of space or aircraft, and he's under duress.

Only in Kalifornia. I was watching the presser live. A reporter actually asked the fire dude if they were considering closing the airport permanently due to the risks and hazards of crashes like this.

He crashed just adjacent to Santa Monica Airport (KSMO), which locals have been trying to close for YEARS now.

Following a Cessna Citation crash there last year, this will only increase the volume of their whining.
