    How do you cook bacon?

Well, one way is with duct tape, magnesium shavings and of course HARDWOOD.

(for the record the pic shows a swedish firesteel and a toologic survival knife, that is not the mag block that the shavings came from, just the spark used to light it.

Mr. Happy Fire likes bacon too.

The matches were exactly the same, except the one on the right has been modified, which would you rather have? They were lit at the same time.

One match clearly burns hotter and longer

I read your post about the tape, shavings etc. in another thread. Now I am hooked. What about the match...nuclear, solar, fossil, what did you do to it. This is not supposed to be an educational thread but I'll bite.

    1) Strike anywhere match

    2) Strike anywhere match after being dipped in wax

    3) Strike anywhere match that was dipped in wax, wrapped with 1" square of wax paper and dipped in wax again. Notice the paper only covers the wooden match stick, not the head of the match. This is what you see burning on the right side of the shell. I have left these under water for hours, then lit them no problem.

Quit turning a Train Wreck into an educational thread. If you want to teach camping tricks open a new thread on teaching camping trick.... :xmad::popcorn:
