Patriots, Surviving the Coming Colapse
Amazon.com Review
In Nobel laureate Elie Wiesel's memoir Night, a scholarly, pious teenager is wracked with guilt at having survived the horror of the Holocaust and the genocidal campaign that consumed his family. His memories of the nightmare world of the death camps present him with an intolerable question: how can the God he once so fervently believed in have allowed these monstrous events to occur? There are no easy answers in this harrowing book, which probes life's essential riddles with the lucid anguish only great literature achieves. It marks the crucial first step in Wiesel's lifelong project to bear witness for those who died.
Patriots, Surviving the Coming Colapse
Patriots by Rawles is usually pretty highly recommended. I liked it.
Also, can't leave out 1984.

I would second the book "Lone Survivor". I welled up with tears more than once for this guy. An incredible story!
Side note:
I heard on Glenn Beck's show that some cowards went to his house and shot his dog for no good reason. I wouldn't want to be those jerks. They'd never no what hit um!
these... with special attention to vince flynn
and probably the best SHTF book out there.... patriots
Liberty & Tyranny, by Mark Levin. It has remained the #1 Seller for months now. It will explain a ton about what is happening to our country right now.
Death By Gun Control, by Aaron Zelman and Richard W. Stevens. Awesome historical look at all the regimes in the 20th century who disarmed their people, and all the genocide and human suffering that inevitably came afterward.
