BMV approves new license plates for GUN lovers!

I like the idea... but I'm on the fence about getting one.

If you travel through places like Stallinois you are priming yourself for an invasive traffic stop.

I personally have a BG firearms sticker, INGO sticker, NRA sticker and Zombie Squad stickers on my truck.

All of my bumper stickers that might be controversial are magnetic and when I am leaving the vehicle for any length of time they are put inside. It's amazing how many people who disagree with you politically are willing to vandalize your property when you are not around.

I know what you mean. I often get overwhelming urges to perpetrate some vandalism of my own when I see Obama and global warming stickers.

I am happy about the NWTF plate, and will be buying one as soon as I can. LOVE the idea that of the $40 cost, $25 goes straight to the Super Fund.

I don't understand why anyone gets any specialty plate in Indiana. Our tags are expensive enough and I'm not paying extra. If I want to support the NRA, Peyton Manning Children's hospital, or any other organization, I'll send them a check for $40 and they can have the entire $40, not just a $25 cut.

Actually, when they were sending some of our guys to work in Chicago, a couple of the trucks did get broken into.

As others have mentioned, I don't generally advertise to others that I may be armed (HA! ...I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you! ). Now, if they had an "I love lasagna" plate (or plate of lasagna) ....that might change things.

Same here........I'll keep my In God We Trust plate, and my American flag sticker.

Not going to get a NRA plate. They really need to update the veterans plates to be branch specific or something that looks better and not charge us for it.

Many good reasons on here so far as to why not to have the special plate! My self I have decided that I will not have the plate and will donate the $25 to where it will actually do some good for our loved sport of shooting. My money will be donated to the Johnson County 4-H Shooting Sports Program. That $25 will buy some much needed ammo for the youth members!

They do it for retired LEO's and CO's, so it would only be fair.
