The article I read didn't make it sound like an accident, but I understand that irresponsibility and recklessness are the main "virtues" of the media these days. The article I read stated that Pistorious has been charged with her murder, mentioned that there were past "incidents" at Pistorious's house involving him and his girlfriend.

I had a friend whom was accidentally shot and killed as a mistaken burglar. she had stayed the night at a friends house and accidentally set the alarm off in the middle of the night her friend rose out of bed and shot and killed her going down the hall to the bathroom. no charges were ever filed as her death was ruled an accident.

According to this Mail Online headline, She was Dead when he shot her.

I don't think he shot her as a burglar as there had been
prior "domestic" issues between them before.
