Over 30 years ago the French gave us the Gazelle, nothing really new just putting angles and materials like an F117 on a rotor aircraft.

This one snuck in, and is taking a poop.

By the way, I'd like to meet this pilot. Them's some fantastic flyin skills he's got.

That made the comment section too. something about it being so quiet that the afghan family thought it was an attic and had been storing their x-mas decorations there for the last 2 years.

Agreed. Stainless Steel Cahones. Looks like a Dustoff to me. I bet they had to drop the gate first to see where they were setting the a$$ down.

Military helo pilots eat badasses for breakfast. They can take those machines so far out of the envelope they come back with foreign postage on them. I knew a guy who flew one for the Navy. He was Tailhook, as well. At one point I was trying to convince my son to try for that, but he still scares me driving an automatic transmission.

I've seen that one. Amazing. And I would bet dollars for doughnuts he learned that in Vietnam. You won't find a civilian that could do that.

    Common core math?

Chinooks first entered service in 1962 as troop transports...
    .
    .
    .
Should that happen, the Chinook family could easily serve well into the 2030's, potentially making it the first helicopter to actively serve the US military for a full century.
