I bought the Lee Breech Lock kit and upgraded the scale to a RCBS Rangemaster 750 scale and bought a hand primer tool. I have a total of about $220 in everything not including dies, cutter, lock stud, etc.

Couldn't be happier. It's not as fast as a progressive by any means, but I've done 1,500 pistol rounds and a thousand or so .308's with great results. IMO, if you're going with a single stage, you can't beat the value of a Lee.

The best value is a used press. Hunting for the best 'used' deal will choose the brand of press for you. As for new, Lee is hard to beat for the money spent.
