Many shooters I have talked to say they have taken their skill to the next level and save money by joining a Conservation Club and enjoying the outofdoors. They say it is Less money, less restrictions, healthier and safer. Any thoughts?

I considered joining MCFG but it's very cost prohibitive. If I remember right the first year's cost is $75 for dues and a $50 processing/initiation fee. Plus you have to attend 2 classes put on by associates of the range at $100 each. That's $325 for the first year. The numbers may be off some but they are close.
I'm 5 minutes from Point Blank in Carmel. They have a nice 30 minute lunch special that I take advantage of every few weeks. I buy my own targets online, but they have a good selection there and relatively cheap.
If I load up all my magazines ahead of time, I can go in there and run quite a few drills within 30 minutes. In and out and still get back to the office to eat my lunch in under an hour.
Everyone has been nice and respectful, every RSO has been nice and respectful. Probably easy to see when someone knows what they are doing versus the people who struggle to get all the rounds on paper at 10 yards (yes, saw this last week).
