My grandmother lives with us and she has a half maltese half yorkie. Its by far the most annoying little dog in the world but that little thing is probably 10x's more alert than my 13 year old beagle. She's almost too alert and she seems to "cry wolf" most of the time. Luckily my 870 will be the bite behind her tiny bark.

I love Rotties. Pami likes these better though.

Actually dachshunds are very aware, very inquisitive, and incredibly intelligent which makes them great watch dogs for us and my wife loves them at home at night since I usually work until about midnight. They are also fearless so I wonder what they would do if really attacked. THey definitely have the bark of a 70 pound dog and have scared away some door to door salesmen before.

My yappy little terrier is a great early warning. Unfortunately, the only person he bit was an on duty officer.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

That being said, I like having him around because the mere sound of a dog barking makes most hoodlums at least hesitate and buy me some time.

Even the small dogs are very keen to things that seem out of place. Great alarm systems.

Yes Ermey thats very true. I have a Sheppard, Pit mix and a Rat terrior...

My Rat Terrior is SUPER keen to noises that the other dog doesn't hear,Due to his radar ears.
But together they are perfect alarm systems.

As well as 10 rds of 00 buck in an autoloader and 30 rds of hollow point 7.62x39.

    And a Brinks Security system.

All this is the best you can get for security on a workin man's budget.:40oz:
