When the clip is empty and the upper slide stays open and I push the mag release button, the mag does not drop out. I have to pull it out. When I do, the upper slide releases. I've talked to a couple guys I know and one of them said it might be the clip. So I got a new one, and does the same thing. The other guy I talked to said it might be a characteristic of the gun.

I shoots fine. No jams or mis-fires. The gun appears to be in nice condition.

Any one else have this model?

Or should I take it to a gun smith?

    Thanks in advance.

Is it doing this with a factory magazine or with a Triple K magazine? The Triple K magazines have a weird follower which can cause problems. Another possibility is that there are two different versions of the 70S - early ones imported by Garcia and later ones imported by Berben and they take different magazines. You might have the wrong one. Unfortunately, magazines for either version of the 70S are scarce as hen's teeth.
