Great gun. I picked up a 92F in very rough shape several years ago. The finish was extremely thin on the slide and the barrel had minor rust and the recoil sring was a little short but after a little TLC and cold blue finish on slide its looked almost like new. Beretta 92 series are a workhorse. Pick up an extra new generation locking block and trigger spring and trigger bar spring for about $50 and shoot away.

My mother-in law was shot through the chest in an attempted robbery in Kokomo's Wal Mart parking lot a few years back and survived! Good thing the perp used a 9mm!

I own the old Taurus equivalent of the 92F which back then was actually made by Beretta. Great shooting gun. After several thousand rounds it still shoots excellent groupings at 25 yards.

Bought one last week from Bob at PSS, $569
Im not really big on 9mm, (own 3 CZ75b,G26,Beretta 92fs) but this thing feels really nice in my hand.
Just about the easiest gun to shoot well that I've ever experienced. My first pistol back in 1993 was a Ruger P85 and I was lucky to put 10 of 10 on a pizza box at 25 yards. I thought I just sucked until I tried my buddy's Beretta 92 and immediately could put 10 into a paper plate at the same distance. I sold the P85 within days after that, but I couldn't get past the big, hockey-stick sized 92, so I bought the Beretta 84 instead. (I didn't really understand the difference in power back then.)

I'm so wedded to the Glock world now (multiple compatible guns including a Sub-2000, numerous magazines, swap barrels, holsters and such) that I can't in good conscience get a 92 now that's outside the system, but if money were no object, I'd love to have one.
