This, on the other hand, is somewhat infuriating. I rarely have much money to spend on blades but I guess when I do, it'll be on Kershaws, ZTs, and Spydercos.Guns used in crimes, ordered destroyed by court, whats the gripe?
They're in Oregon... were any Republicans actually running? Those dollar amounts look like they only contribute to local campaigns. Seriously, that isn't much money at all.
I dont bleed PD blue, i bleed red white and blueWhile I will admit that the optics of this looks terrible, and I question Benchmade's lack of judgment in not recognizing the negative outcome, I find it a bit alarming that the same people that claim to bleed PD blue and love to shout “fake news!” are taking advantage of this because it fits their narrative (political motivations).... it's no different than the "Fake News" jumping to conclusions before the facts have been determined.......It’s honestly embarrassing.
Police departments all over this country destroy firearms all of the time for various reasons if they can’t be resold. Why would a company not want to be a good corporate citizen, and help their local PD with something that they have.... the tools and expertise.
Benchmade's mistake was not knowing that a portion of their customer base is incapable of gathering the facts or reserving judgment until more info (facts) came out. Also, Benchmade did not realize/recognize that regardless of one's personal political views or beliefs, that if an issue is close (important) to that person like 2A, the reaction and negativity will be the same.

So these guns were being destroyed anyway, by SOMEONE. And people are mad because Benchmade offered to help out the local PD? I can usually at least see the other point-of-view, but I’m lost on this one. A lot of accusations are thrown at the left about looking for fake outrage, but I think one fits the bill.
Also, Chubbs has names me his backup for the destruction of this outrageous company’s products. I urge all of those outraged to stand behind their morals and send us their knives.
People are furious at Benchmade for helping PD destroy firearms.
Dang, it's was getting hard keeping up with the do not support list, and I love my benchmades.
Just like when they come for the guns, there will be people (supposed gun owners and 2nd amendment supporters) bending over backwards to hand them in and laughing at and vilifying those that don't. People see what they want to see. I think more people have a problem with this than those that don't and there is nothing snowflake about it. Instead of money people should send benchmade cutoff wheels and hacksaw blades.

Dang, is one of those an SKS? That infuriates me more than who is destroying it.

....
"there is nothing snowflake about it", because that's not the meaning of snowflake. I think the word you want is "triggered".. I think more people have a problem with this than those that don't and there is nothing snowflake about it.
