    My dad had a sweet 1890's 12 ga that was given to him by a neighbor woman when he was a kid after he did some chores for her. My dad passed away this past year and the gun was sent to the county museum =(

    That sucks. I've had similar situations, the cousin and grandpa have probably been doing "business" for a while behind everyone else's back. My grandma gives some of my cousins anything they want. However, she wouldn't p**s on the rest of us if we were on fire.

    on the topic of relatives... my other grandpa (whom i never met) left my dad a remington .22 rifle. its old and the stock is bein held together by black tape. i wanna redo this gun. but im torn on how to go.... i like the original look.. but i dont want my grandson to have to go through the same thing in the next 40+ years.... im thinkin a synthetic stock if i can find one... thoughts?
