You have to always remember that dash cam video/audio is there. i agree hes probably just returning some attitude but when they only play excerpts and leave out the context, perception is reality.

Definitely sarcasm, and I can see where he was coming from with saying it.

Unfortunately, sarcasm looks bad when transcribed. People will see the text, begin the outrage machine, and they'll probably fire him.

It also helps to misintepret things when people see the evil they expect to see. People have to realize we live in a different world now where people are just more sensitive to stuff. I have to be more careful of how I use sarcasm at work. Because some people will take things in the most offensive way. This is why we can't have nice things.

I think that a police officer using the phrase "we only shoot black people" to a white stranger in the middle of his official duties shows poor judgment. I wouldn't fire him and there will, of course, be disproportionate outrage, but it was stupid, plain and simple.
