if your pistol is not concealed ,it doesn't matter where you are in public, even in your car you stay in jail.

you have me confused...The way i read your post it sounded like you think that if you OC you will be put in jail?!

If that is the case then you are completely false! In the state of Indiana you are legally allowed to OC. There are a few places that you are not allowed to carry at ALL like, past the security gate of airports, casinos, schools, most State buildings, and im sure i left something out...but its all in the IC if you just search for it.

okay, im glad im not the only one that read it that way!

Mattrxx you need to read around and gain a little info about firearm laws. Each state is different, so if you came from somewhere else their rules may not apply here in Indiana. However, it IS NOT illegal to open carry in Indiana IF you have a LTCH (License To Carry Handgun). Hopefully this clears some of your confusion up. Use the search tab and look up handgun laws...there is a sticky thread on it I believe

OK, look, I am not trying to sound like a jerk here, but I REALLY suggest you read up on Indiana gun laws.

I have seen you say here that your gun has to be concealed: WRONG
I have seen you say you cant carry in church: WRONG
I have seen you say you can transport a handgun w/o an LTCH: WRONG
I have seen you call our License a CHL: WRONG

Might I suggest starting with our FAQ?

I hope you take this in the spirit it is given. I don't want to see you misinformed, or anyone that reads your posts misinformed. We gun owners have to stick together :D

Hey, Matrxx... Did you just move to Indiana from Texas? I did a quick scan of your posts, since I think I saw you in a couple of other threads I've read. You've mentioned DPS (Dept. of Public Safety) and some criminal code which seem to match Texas. If so, Welcome to Indiana! It may be hard to believe, but out carry laws might be a bit more "liberal" than even Texas' laws.

Check out the INGO FAQ for info on our state (and federal?) laws, and links to some other great resources.

Oh, and pop over to the Welcome and Introductions thread, post up, and let everyone say "hi"!

I'm against purple text. If someone cannot recognize a joke, too bad for them.

alright my bad....i figured you had more of a clue about handgun laws because of your post count. But sometimes its hard to tell if people are joking anymore; there are so many people getting on here and asking DUMB questions...especially about OCing or just carrying in general.

    so my bad

Is it all casinos? I thought the IC stated riverboat casinos. I know the Indiana Live casino has a sign, but I don't believe it's illegal per IC.
