I have a Midwest Industries G2 2-piece 10" free float rail on a Spikes upper. After installation and full tightening the Midwest Industries rail sits a hair lower than the picatinny section of the upper. I've mounted it several different times to check my install and I've come to the same outcome. This rail is one that uses the factory barrel nut, and no part is overtightened. It's only been cosmetic so far, been through a couple hundred rounds so far and it hasn't budged or seemed to bother anything but BOY does it make me feel like I have OCD every time I look at it. :):

Anyone else have this? I could see if it were an Amazon rail on an off-brand upper.

I've never heard of that, I have a troy alpha rail on mine though. Might be worth having a gunsmith check out though?

You Have OCD! It shouldn't affect anything but looks, and 99.00% of people looking wouldn't notice it. You could shim the top to raise the rear alignment but this would negate parallel with the bore.
