OK I have a feeling this question is pointless but I will ask anyway.

I have 3 lowers to pick from to assemble for a 16" upper I have laying around.
Functionality wise I suspect any of them would be fine. But from a value or most desirable point of view which of these would be preferable?

I have an early cast Essential Arms J-15 receiver in colt gray or a new DPMS Reciever, last but not least a Delaware Machine Receiver.

I'd definitely say no to the cast receiver. Toss up between DPMS and DM.

Does the DM receiver have their logo on it?

I agree with that. so 1 down 1 to go.
The DM does not have the logo on it

In that case, I'd go with the DM, and send it off to have your own custom logo engraved where their logo would normally be. Something cool and unique to you or your build. Unless you may market it in the future, in which case just make it something cool and one-off.

Hmm Diamond Collision Logo hadn't thought of that :)

See now you're using your noggin'!

I have not had any engraving done before. Who does that?

I had a group in Texas do my SBR engraving and was really impressed.

Not normally, but Delaware Machinery did a run a few years ago where they left off their normal logo.

There may be others like this, but I'm not aware of them.

I had an EA on my first AR, never had a problem with it. Soon I shall endeavor to finish some 80% lowers I picked up, and build those out for SHTF purposes. No logos on those :) Nor serial numbers. Nor 4473s. Woot!

If I can find a local company to do the engraving I will have it done.
I don't really want to ship it anywhere
