New (first AR) Palmetto Light Weight Build

Combination of my bonus for the upper and a birthday/Christmas gift for the lower build kit from my wife and son. Built it last night.

My AR15 build with it's stinger attached.

Upper is: PSA
Barrel: FN marked, 20" CMV, individually high pressure tested and magnetic particle inspected. Chambered in 5.56 NATO with a 1:7 twist , chrome-lined chamber and bore, Rifle-length gas system, and M4 feedramps. Barrels are finished off with a taper pinned, f-marked, front sight post, standard handguards, round handguard cap and an A2 flash hider.

Lower is Spikes Tactical with a RRA parts kit.

Butt stock is A2 style.
Carry harndle/rear sight added.

Stinger is M7 bayonet.

- Generic black cotton CMP sling.
- Engraving by Orion Arms out of Minnesota, years he served, rank, and Indiana National Guard logo. Color fill by me.

My first COMPLETE build, he shot it yesterday with only minor hiccups, new thread pending about that....
