Do you have a reason for saying that or are you just ignorant?

::::TO BE READ IN SUPER PURPLE::::
OH yes bush was the great Satan and all of Obamanations issues stems from the bush admin.

Lay off the liberal koolaid! Obama's approval ratings are worse than Bushs! "I will put an end to the war!" Who said that? Who sent 30,000 more troops?
Who just passed that national health care bill? Who does not support a state's right to protect it's border? Who just mandated that all student loans must go through the government? Who is doing nothing about the crisis in the ocean? Who just spent billions of dollars on personal projects when the nation was in debit 400billion? Who cannot show support to the familys who have lost someone in war?

    Obama is not my president!

As I said before I didn't vote for Obama, and I defiantly don't agree with what he is doing. But Bush WAS horrible. I'm not really sure how that is even up for discussion. When you inherit one of the best economic situations and then in the course of 8 years put us on the precipice of the worst depression since the 30s. It seems kinda popular on here to blame Obama for that, but come on, he has been in office a year. It was pretty darn horrible when he got the keys to the car.

He spent and spent, he was not as "republican" on issues such as immigration that he should have been. He just wasn't very good and I am a lifelong republican.

    The economy is fixed?

No and Id kinda like to see where in my post that I said it was...

OBAMA IS TRASH!!! A DISCRACE TO THE OFFICE. Us Veterans will do just fine without him!!! We take care of each other. we dont need a FAKE American attempting to Honor our fallen Brothers.
he cant even put his hand over his heart out of respect:

You should go to a Blackhawks game at United Center......you'd be appalled.......no, actually, it's quite incredible

YouTube - chicago blackhawks National Anthem at Game 1 round 1 LOUD.

What is so freaking magic about a date? Memorial Day is an arbitrary date decided by legislators after moving the date from early May. The joint is open 24 hours a day for crying out loud. It's like a 7-11. You can pretty much go anytime you want.

I was supposed to go visit family graves this weekend, but I'm going boating instead. Sue me.

:):........Getting that boat in the water for the first time of the year is what Memorial Day is all about.

IMO, there is no better way to celebrate our country and freedoms, then to be off work and excercising our freedoms. I think about my friends that died in Iraq and Afghanistan just about every day. What's the difference if I'm fishing while I'm doing it?

Going back to Reagan, Bill Clinton is the only president to have laid the wreath each year while in office. Snopes has a good post on this topic and it's not really an issue at all. If you are offended at Obama doing this, you should be at least as offended at Reagan, Bush Sr., and W. as well.

When my son was about 11, I found myslef with an unexpected week off. I decided I would take him to Cedar Point, a place he loves. I combined that with a few days in D.C. We went to Air and Space museum and all the memorials. When I told him we were going to Arlington, he as less than thrilled. To this day, his says it turned out to be his favorite part of the D.C. leg of our trip and he really remembers to Tomb of the Unknown soldier. He'll be 25 this year and that was a great week in our history.

Well, that's Cwood, Dogman, & me. What about others? I think if anyone has ever been in the DC metro area and did NOT go to Arlington while there, they should cease posting to this thread.

Yes, I've been to Arlington, but I find this post particularly offensive. What right to do you to tell any American to shut up? Do you seriously not understand that is one of the major meanings of Arlington? That they died defending our rights? No one has to have visited to have a right to express their opinion in this country.

However, people have a legitimate expectation that CINC should visit, particularly on Memorial Day. Pointing out that other presidents didn't always attend is a legitimate way to say that it isn't always done and people should go easier on Obama, but you "should cease posting" is not.

I think we are more upset about President Obama not going because in our hearts we do not believe he loves this country. In our hearts we don't think he really cares about the men and women who have given and continue to give their lives to protect this country. So we see his preference of attending a barbecue in Chicago with his bolshevik buddies rather than go to Arlington, confirmation of those feelings. I can't believe some of the spin on this either. W, missed one to attend a specials anniversary ceremony at Omaha Beach in Normandy and that is reason to criticize him... really? And sure HW Bush should have gone but as a guy that was shot down defending this country in WW2 most of us feel he showed his love for this country and gets a pass.

I've been twice. So I guess I now have permission to post.
Barack Obama is a commie socialist douchebag. I'm glad he won't be at Arlington. Hopefully a true deserving patriot will lay the wreath.

It would seem a bit hypocritical that Presidents Obama and Clinton take part of any military event, given their respective contemptuous personas of the armed forced, and despite the fact of their positions of being Commander-In-Chief.

That has and still does not prevent either from utilizing the military when it is in their best political interest, as well as personally expedient. The audacity of the shamelessness that both of these men have displayed, particularly when they have sent men and women into harm's way, continues to astound me.

I suspect that many, if not a majority of our people in uniform, would rather flip either of them off, rather than conveying the respect due of a CIC with a salute. It is too bad that the troops can not reciprocate the same respect due, under threat of court-martial, that both these men have demonstrated unto them.

I'm just saying we should not expect more from POTUS than we expect from ourselves. If you spend time in DC metro area and don't visit Arlington are you any better than he is for exercising such a choice? For someone of my generation, Arlington and The Wall are must do pilgrimages. Just sayin' if you have the same sin, you shouldn't throw stones.

You seem to miss my point that it is legitimate to expect more from the President because he is the Commander in Chief. If there is no reason to expect leadership, then he should not be in a leadership position.

He DOESN'T care or love OUR country or the country we THOUGHT was ours. OUR country hasn't existed for a hundred years, if it ever did.

Obama love HIS country and he is creating it from what Bush though was HIS country, but none of them ever thought any thing about this country was OUR country.

I cannot speculate that he doesn't love our country. I don't know him that well. But, I will say that I am kind of disappointed this morning that he isn't at the Tomb of the Unknowns. I look forward to that every year on Memorial Day because of the ceremony and the seriousness of it. What idiot adviser told him that it was okay not to go to Arlington? This really sucks. I mean, Biden is a nice guy, but he will probably screw it up. Not happy.

Im not an Obama fan and I didnt vote for him, but dont you think the Obama sucks stuff on here is sorta over the top? I mean did anyone really think that in a year he could fix our economy that took Bush 8 years to totally screw up?

I get why some are upset about him skipping a wreath laying, I guess I dont know much about that but is it something every other president has done? If so then fine I get it, but it seems Obama gets no leeway at all on anything.
Bush did not screw up the economy, Bill Clinton did. The sub prime mortgages in the 90's. I was a 5 dollar an hour worker, and also my wife. We were pre-approved for a 150,000 dollar home. We know we could never afford that, we bought a home at 7.125% interest rate, for 76,000. I am now disabled, my wife also, and we never missed a payment, borrowed, or took out any second motgage. Well, the economy collapsed from this riplle effect, and the dominoes just tumbled. Now, I am losing my home, I have no equity, and I have no sympathy for a Commander and Cheif (I am former Military), whom is a bufoon. Well******its easy to blame Bush*** but were you better off when he was in office, or now? I am 50 years old, and never in my lifetime witnessed a President in his third year, still blaming the previous Administration.. Sorry, I got screwed, soon to be homeless, and I cannot respect him.
