    you can slice them bread them then fry them up . but there is not a lot of flavor . sheephead aka hen of the woods are well worth your time .

    What are Hen of the woods? Never heard of them?

    As said above, they are also called sheepshead and maitake. My favorite mushroom, period. It is a fall mushroom, large, and delicious!!!. What makes it great is if you find one they can be large (basketball size or larger!)
